Jay Z Talks About Trademarking His Baby’s Name, And Her Musical Tastes
In an interview with Vanity Fair, the rap mogul says he and his super-wife Beyoncé didn’t trademark little Blue Ivy’s name to make money off it, but rather so that no one else could. “People wanted to make products based on our child’s name and you don’t want anybody trying to benefit off your baby’s name,” he says. “It wasn’t for us to do anything; as you see, we haven’t done anything.”
In the same article he waxes poetic on thee 20 month old’s musical tastes, and no, they don’t include The Wiggles. “She does like her mother’s music – she watches Beyoncé’s concerts on the computer every night. But my album came out and I don’t know if Blue ever heard any of my music prior to this album – she’s only 18 months old and I don’t play my music around the house. But this album was new, so we played it. And she loves all the songs,” he says. We can’t wait to witness the little princess’ entitlement issues.
Brits Drink Too Much, Album Charts Prove It
Researchers from Liverpool John Moores University conducted a study which illuminates that one in five songs on the UK charts make mention of alcoholic beverage and indicates that this is a broadly a representation of the glorification of booze that exists in the western world. As reported by Daily Mail the study also states that since 2011, the amount of alcohol-related lyrics has more than doubled. Because it’s clearly lyrics and not the fact that the British government have lowered the tax on alcohol that’s to blame for increased consumption. Boozy geezers.
Jesse From Breaking Bad Is An EDM Sensation
As NME reports, Aaron Paul, the actor who plays Jesse Pinkman on the award-winning show, has leant his vocals to the Tom Neville and Zen Freeman track. Or more accurately, has leant one of Jesse’s signature phrases in the form of the only lyric to the song: “Dance, bitch!” The dance track is sure to make many appearances this halloween when every single person you know dresses up as characters from Breaking Bad.
