Following on from announcing the diverse range of acts for AWME 2013, with a huge lineup of global roots music with a roster of world-class artists performing over four days and nights, organisers have now revealed the equally impressive list of speakers for the conference program.

The region’s largest industry conference and showcase event for roots music, AWME (Australasian Worldwide Music Expo) provides a platform for networking, professional engagement and the proliferation of creative collaborations.

This year, AWME will see approximately 500 high-profile local and international music representatives from some of the world’s leading festivals, record labels, booking agencies and arts organisations, making their way to Melbourne for the sixth annual Australasian Worldwide Music Expo (AWME) from Thursday 14th – Sunday 17th November.

Just announced as Keynote Speakers will be Bluesfest promoter Peter Noble, who will be discussing 25 years of Bluesfest in Byron Bay, as well as iconic Indigenous artist Archie Roach in conversation with Jane Cornwell.

AWME 2013 Guest Speakers also include: Chris Sampson (Bonnaroo Festival, Superfly Presents USA), Malcolm Haynes (Glastonbury UK), Ian James (Mushroom Music Publishing), Rhoda Roberts (Boomerang Festival, Opera House Sydney), Val Wolfe (The Agency Group LA, USA), Grant Paley (Agent, Paquin Entertainment, Canada) Kerry Clarke (Calgary Folk Music Festival, Canada), Lu Zhiqiang (Yugong Yishan Cultural Promotions, Beijing China), Shin Fukuzumi (A&R – P-VINE / The 3776 / Holiday Revolution Tokyo, Japan), Marc-André Sarault (Montreal International Jazz Festival, Canada) plus many more high-profile national and international speakers.

Alongside the conference program, AWME will showcase an incredible line-up of roots artists from across Australia, the Pacific and around the world performing in over 60 showcases taking place at Arts Centre Melbourne, The HI-Fi, Toff In Town, Ding Dong Lounge and Lounge.
