The Inca Roads 2013 lineup has been announced with a bulging list of 35 local bands and artists bolstering one of regional Victoria’s leading boutique music festivals.

The three-day camping festival, held in the greater region of Ballarat – just under an hour’s drive from the Melbourne city centre – has revealed a sizeable mix of artists that will be gracing Inca Roads’s single stage.

Leading the Inca Roads 2013 lineup is local heroes Gold Fields, who have taken their world-class brand of electronic-leaning rock from Ballarat to America, dazzling audiences wherever they go. Joining Gold Fields at the top of the festival bill and keeping the dance vibes going will be honed party-starters Northeast Party House, Melbourne duo Willow Beats, and the eccentric ensemble, The Woohoo Revue.

There’s plenty more to enjoy further down the festival bill as well, with an ear-catching collection of emerging Aussie talent, including Animaux, Tully On Tully, Lurch & Chief, Andras Fox, Bored Nothing, Playwrite, Neighbourhood Youth, Mildlife, The Pretty Littles, 8 Bit Love, Albert Salt, The Ocean Party, Lowtide, and many more.

Inca Roads 2013 is capped at just 500 patrons, with a BYO policy (as long as you don’t bring dickheads), the festival’s organisers describe the event as “where everyone is a friend or a friend in waiting. Great people, an ego free zone.”

Following on from its beginnings, “with a few friends packing their instruments into the back of a station wagon and heading out for a camping trip at good ol’ Nonno Frank’s place,” Inca Roads is doing everything it can to maintain that unique atmosphere; “We’ve kept it small and love the little things that make a festival experience special. It still feels like a camping trip, peaceful yet lively at the same time.”

There’s also a distinct essence of philanthropy to Inca Roads, run by a not-for-profit organisation, all proceeds from the event are given back to the community through charities and the running of the festival itself, which functions on the lifeblood of passionate volunteers and dedicated workers.

Tickets for the event are just $145 (plus booking fee), for more info head to http://www.incaroads.com.au/
