By the end of every week there are a bunch of music-related stories, cool links, videos, and other internet ditties that are a little on the trashy side.

As a remedy to this, we’re happy to introduce our new column Trash Can– our avenue for sharing the funny, the weird, and the downright tacky music stories of the week. Enjoy!

Avril Lavigne And Chad Kroeger Have A Lot Of Feelings, You Guys

Realistically, there was only going to be a short, blissful period of time before newlyweds Avril Lavinge and Chad Kroeger started making music together. The single “Let Me Go” is the third from Avril’s soon to be released self titled album and sounds kind of like what would happen if Nickelback and Delta Goodrem had a really sad baby. The happy couple appeared in their first interview together this week, Kroeger revealing the culinary talents of his wife. On the matter Lavigne stated ”I just go with the flow and kinda see what’s in the fridge and then start.”. Absolutely fascinating.

We Can All Stop Worrying About Childish Gambino Now

Childish Gambino has explained the seven-page letter that he released to the world via Instagram earlier this week. Listing his fears, insecurities and wishes, the open letter seemed something of a cry for help. However, as Gambino told NME yesterday, “I’m not having a personality crisis, more like a personality burst. I just wanted to be honest.” So don’t worry fans: Gambino’s not crazy, just human.

Morrissey’s Autobiography Reveals He Isn’t Actually A Robot

f you think that the opinionated former Smiths front man writing an autobiography sounds like a bit of a wank, wait ‘til you see the cover photo! Love him or loathe him, Morrissey is an undeniably interesting character and with claims ranging from an NME conspiracy against him to a thwarted Mexican kidnapping attempt, his memoirs should prove to be anything but a boring read.

X-Factor Contestant Calls Lorde A ‘Knob’

Former UK X-Factor contestant Cher Lloyd has decidedly announced that 16-year-old New Zealander Lorde is a “knob” in response to her comments criticising Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez in their unattainable portrayal of women. Lloyd, of “Swagger Jagger ” fame told J-14 “I think she’s going to eat her words, which she obviously already has, and I think for someone who’s gaining so much success so early, she should be considering herself lucky… If she said something about me, it’d be a different story. I wouldn’t stand for any of that, I’d be straight back on it.” Avoiding the diplomatic style of response adopted by those Lorde ACTUALLY spoke out about , we’re still uncertain as to why Lloyd felt the need to step in and have her say. Your move Lorde, Your move.
