Prematurely kicking the year off with a bang by performing at Pyramid Rock Festival, before racing down the highway to bring in the New Year at their home away from home, the Reverence Hotel, 2013 was destined to be a big year for The Smith Street Band. What followed however exceeded all expectations.

A gratifying blur of sold out signs, passport stamps and new followers, 2013 has seen the four piece partake in their first European jaunt, a 42 date tour of the USA with Frank Turner, a performance at The Fest in Florida – sharing the stage with punk luminaries ALL – the release of an EP Don’t Fuck With Our Dreams, a Big Day Out appearance and countless Australian dates along the way.

Returning home in December after three months abroad, the band remain in demand, playing at Meredith Music Festival, the Poison City Records ten year anniversary celebration and Falls Festival.

With each show sold out, the band has announced their final headline show of the year.

Joined by THE PRETTY LITTLES, STOCKADES and THE UNION PACIFIC, they’ll play at Ding Dong Lounge, Melbourne on Boxing Day, December 26.

If any of this year’s home town shows are an indication, get in early as this will be a full house.
