Tone Deaf endured the worst parts of the Grammy Awards – the US Music industry’s circle jerk for MORE rock acts and cheesy pop starlets – to give you a quick summary to save you the torture of the badly scripted award presentation banter and mimed performances. So, in the vaguely notable parts, über self promoter and publicity whore Lady Gaga didn’t win Best Pop album, a dubious honour reserved for yawn-worthy all American country cheerleader Taylor Swift.

At least she beat pisshead Mr Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban. Green Day picked up Best Rock Album for their rebel-lite American Idiot album, while in the only vaguely interesting incident of the night Caleb Followill of Kings of Leon admitted that the band were all pissed when picking up the Record of The Year award for their ode to groupies, Use Somebody.
