The Neil Finn Australian Tour 2014 has expanded.

With only limited tickets remaining for Neil Finn’s Melbourne show on Wednesday 12th March, a second and final Melbourne performance has been announced for Thursday 13th March at Hamer Hall, Arts Centre Melbourne. Tickets for this final Melbourne show will go on sale at 9am, Tuesday December 10.

The famed singer-songwriter and Crowded House frontman is hitting our shores with the release of a brand new studio album.

The ‘Dizzy Heights’ Tour will follow the February 7th release of Finn’s third solo album – Dizzy Heights – and will give the iconic artist the opportunity to showcase these new songs as part of his already extensive repertoire. Fans can expect to hear new songs like ‘Divebomber’ and ‘Flying In The Face Of Love’ interspersed with a catalogue of songs that are now intrinsically part of Australian culture.

“I have a long-lasting and unique connection with Australian audiences and want to make this upcoming tour quite special,” says Finn. “It is an exciting prospect as I am appearing under my own name and so am able to bring out a personal selection of the best songs from all the eras of my musical life as well present new songs from the album Dizzy Heights.”

Finn gave fans a taste of Dizzy Heights during a recent webcast to launch the album (view this exclusive performance here). Produced by Dave Fridmann (Mercury Rev, The Flaming Lips, Tame Impala), Dizzy Heights was recorded in upstate New York and the first single ‘Flying In The Face Of Love’ is released today. A stream of ‘Flying In The Face Of Love’ will be available later today on Neil’s official Youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/neilfinnofficial

In a unique offer, fans also have the choice to pre-order physical and digital versions of Neil Finn’s new album Dizzy Heights when purchasing tickets.

Special guest for Finn on all show dates is the uber-talented Utah-based rock and folk singer Joshua James, about to release his first album in Australia From The Top of Willamette Mountain. James’ songs reflect a distinct American ache, while his sweetly hoarse vocal appears tremulously fragile one moment and soulfully-fuelled by a grunge rock drive the next as he escapes the traditional confines of the folk genre.
