A REMi Australian Tour 2014 has been announced following what’s been a huge 12 months for the rising hip hop luminary.

After a massive year, culminating in being awarded the coveted title of Triple J’s Unearthed Artist of the Year and performing at the sold out NYE On The Hill Festival, REMi hits the ground running in 2014 with a national run of shows through February.

Playing to his growing number of fans nationwide, this will be the last opportunity to catch REMi in such intimate settings before the release of new material later in 2014.

REMi’s much anticipated new single ‘Livin’ will also be dropping ahead of these national shows to provide fans with a taste of the new material to come from the J Award winner, who is also up in the Most Promising Artist category for Tone Deaf’s own 4th Annual Readers Poll.

The track record of the J Award winning artist is that of a busy man; 2011 saw the release of two EPs (Childish and Five Beats I Love) and the completion of his first album Regular People Sh#%t in 2012.

REMi continued to make waves dropping a decidedly big tune by the name of ‘Sangria‘ in May this year. The track received full rotation on Triple J with and is edging towards 100,000 YouTube views.

‘Sangria’ hails from a mixtape titled F.Y.G : Act 1 which was nominated on New York’s NPR 2013 Best Albums of 2013 list. The tape finds the 22 year old acting up over an eclectic mix of jams (Gangstarr, Kaytranada) and an impressive set of original tracks (‘Sangria’, second single ‘Saggin’, last year’s acclaimed single ‘Ape’) all produced by in-house team Sensible J & Dutch.

Besides Numerous headline shows, the Melbournian has supported acts like Danny Brown, De La Soul, MED, The Pharcyde, Mono/Poly, Jonwayne, Jesse Boykins & @Peace (Just to name a few).

In December 2013 he hits the road with Joey Badass and The Underachievers before playing Falls Festival, NYE on the HillPerth Festival and Push Over, as well as supporting Illy on his national tour this coming March.

Don’t miss your chance to catch REMi live, he’s sure to be one of next year’s most talked-about artists.
