Following wrapping its Singapore and Auckland legs, Laneway Festival lands in Australia this Friday 31st January to continue the festivities at Brisbane’s RNA Showgrounds before rolling around the country.

Following announcing the set times and maps for each of the festival’s five legs, festival organisers are now offering fans the chance to get up close with the Laneway 2014 lineup in a series of intimate after parties.

Curated by indie label Future Classic, the post-festival parties will see billed acts such as Haim, Jagwar Ma, Cloud Control, Chvrches, The Jezabels, and more playing exclusive DJ sets at clubs in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, and Fremantle (sorry, Adelaide).

Aside from featuring the siblings of Haim and Jono Ma of Jagwar Ma, each leg will feature an exclusive mix of acts unique to that particular city.

Brisbanites can keep the party going at Oh Hello with the downtempo beats of Norway’s Cashmere Cat, as well as DJ sets from The Jezabels drummer Nik Kaloper and Cloud Control.

Melbourne’s Roxanne Parlour will get the same treatment (minus Cashmere Cat), while Sydneysiders will enjoy an exclusive set from Earl Sweatshirt’s Odd Future associate Taco, and Perth fans get to call dibs on a dancefloor fuelled  by Scottish synthpop trio (and Warpaint admirers) Chvrches.

First release tickets for the Laneway after parties have already been exhausted in Brisbane and Sydney, with a second release on sale now along with the rest of the remaining dates (view the full dates and details below).

Laneway organisers are also offering the “highest of high fives” to the acts on the Laneway Festival 2014 lineup that cracked Triple J’s Hottest 100 on Australia Day, including The Jezabels, Cloud Control, Haim, Chvrches, and of course, sitting at the top of the annual poll at #2 and #1 – the proverbial Queen (Bee) and King (Joy): Lorde and Vance Joy.

Interestingly, more Laneway 2014 bands narrowly missed out on the Hottest 100, with Triple revealing the results of the songs that ranked at #101 to #200 from the station’s 1,492,619 votes. Featured in the ‘next 100’ were tracks from the likes of Danny Brown, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Frightened Rabbit, King Krule, Jagwar Ma, Violent Soho, and Cloud Control.

The Triple J love continues with the additional news that – for the first time ever – the radio station will be broadcasting live from the Melbourne Laneway at Footscray Community Arts Centre/River’s Edge this Saturday 1st February. Triple J presenters Zan Rowe and Linda Marigliano have also offered their timetable picks for the festival, including Kurt Vile, Savages, Cass McCombs, Warpaint, Parquet Courts, Kirin J Callinan.
