Close to 160 crazed, ticketless Metallica fans were arrested last week after a riot ensued outside one of their Columbian shows. Hoards of punters sans tickets showed up to the concert and tried their very hardest to take out the barriers and get inside. 1500 police were stationed outside the venue with tanks and trucks ready to be deployed. The authorities were expecting trouble. There had been posts on social networking site Facebook encouraging fans to show up and try to break in.

A 45-minute riot developed in which four fans and four police were injured. One fan was treated for a knife wound. Metallica’s show was not interrupted.

The video footage of the riot has been published on the internet. Check it out.
