After almost 3 years since the release of their last album, Dave Grohl has announced that Foo Fighters will now get back into the studio to work on a new album. He confirmed that time has been put aside for the band to begin recording in September this year.

The dedicated rocker has recently been on tour around the globe with his highly successful new band, Them Crooked Vultures, and they too, have announced their intention to record a second album later this year. Grohl said, “Foo Fighters have just started writing and we’re going to start recording in September so life is full of music.”

Meanwhile, Them Crooked Vultures are still on the move, and will be headlining one of Roger Daltry’s Teenage Cancer fundraisers at Royal Albert Hall before heading to Coachella in April. They’ll also be travelling to the UK in June for the Download Festival to appear with Rock Gods, AC/DC.
