It’s almost like a scene from 1984’s Thriller video. Michael Jackson has signed the biggest record deal in history from beyond the grave. According to AAP’s insider, a $US200 million guaranteed contract with Sony Music Entertainment for 10 projects over seven years has been signed off by representatives from the King of Pop’s family.

The deal could be valued at up to $US250 million if certain conditions of the contract are met. Mooted projects could include a DVD compilation of videos and a re-release of “Off the Wall,” Jackson’s fifth studio album, which first came out in 1979. This would be fleshed out with unreleased material. Before he kicked the bucket in June last year at age 50, the pop star had wanted to re-issue the album according to ‘insiders’. (I.e. his estate’s lawyers).
