With the 2014 Melbourne International Comedy Festival fast approaching, we thought we’d test out the old saying “don’t judge an album by its cover” on some of the biggest comedians coming down for the month of laughs.

Here’s how it happened: we sent each comedian two random record sleeves without giving them any background information whatsoever, then we made them tell us the first things that came to their mind – in other words, literally judging the albums by their cover.

What happened? David O’Doherty talked about his own birth, Doc Brown imagined a metal band with mummy issues while Kyle Kinane made some stoned observations. We know they’re comedians, but the results are even better than we expected.
