The Gum Ball 2014 set times have been announced, along with a pair of last-minute additions to the festival’s 10th Anniversary lineup.

With just two weeks until the independent boutique music festival kicks off, and following on from confirming an additional third day of artists, The Gum Ball organisers have added two final artists to the 10th birthday celebrations.

Australia’s Queen of Rock, Adalita, is now headed to the Belford Valley to take part in the Gum Ball. Coming off the back of a revered Golden Plains appearance, the former Magic Dirt mistress will be taking to the infamous Dashville stage for a late night set of rock drawn from last year’s sophomore effortAll Day Venus.

Famed documentarian and musician Andrew Kidman and his evocative band The Windy Hills also join the Gum Ball 2014 lineup, following Kidman releasing cult surf film sequel Spirit Of Akasha, as well as old-skool rock n’ swing combo, The Lairs.

The three new bands join a bill topped by legendary rock-a-bouts Hoodoo Gurus, plus King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Jinja Safari, Ngaiire, Wolf & Cub, Ed Kuepper, The Hello Morning, Dyson, Stringer & Cloher, and plenty more as the recently revealed set times demonstrate.

Along with the cache of musical delights, the program is also packed with weekend-long activities that suit the Gum Ball’s family friendly atmosphere and festival experiences that have ensured its growing strength across its 10 year history, even against the backdrop of a highly competitive festival market.

“The festival has worked incredibly hard over the years to set a foot hold,” says The Gum Ball’s Matt Johnson. “The music is just one element of The Gum Ball, there’s so much extra fun to be had for everyone, I can’t wait.”

This year’s edition will once again be held at its pristine country site at ‘Dashville’, located in Lower Belford in the Hunter Valley in New South Wales in the first weekend of April (coinciding with the school holidays).

It’s not too late to grab your tickets to the 10th edition of The Gum Ball, and be sure to hit up the Tone Deaf festival guide for further info.
