Launching for the first time last year, emerging music festival Live It Up brings a killer line up to the kind of fan that doesn’t usually get to hi some of the bigger music events: under 18s fans.

After landing with a splash in 2013, the only underage music festival in Brisbane is returning for round two with the announcement of the Live It Up 2014 lineup.

Taking place at Brisbane’s RNA Showgrounds on Saturday 21st June, taking top honours for headlining the second edition of the festival is Parkway Drive. With a decade’s experience under the belt, the Byron Bay metalcore outfit will be bringing their visceral arena-selling live show to the younger Brisbane fans.

Local Mansfield locals Violent Soho are also hitting the Live It Up stage following their upcoming regional tour with Groovin The Moo and Triple J’s One Night Stand. The grunge disciples have had a very busy year after dropping their third studio album, Hungry Ghost, in 2013 with the likes of ‘Covered In Chrome’ and ‘In The Aisle’ already proving to be certified festival anthems.

The Jungle Giants are another festival-friendly concern and bringing their indie guitar pop to the outdoor stage, along with rising Melbourne MC and mixtape star, Allday. Rounding out the Live It Up 2014 lineup is fellow Byron Bay hardcore outfit In Hearts Wake, with a new album in tow, along with Triple J Unearthed winners Lunatics On Pogosticks and The Creases, also hailed by Triple J as “one of the most exciting bands to come out of Brisbane.”

Tickets for the one-day event are on sale now, while Live It Up is also offering participants a chance to “Be A Promoter” for the festival. To register for more information, head here.
