Barely has he signed on the dotted line to reform the Libertines for a huge pay day at the Reading and Leeds Festivals in late August than in comes the news that Pete Doherty’s fired his other band – sort of. According to The Sun, drummer Adam Ficek and bassist Drew McConnell were given the arse without warning and the newly unemployed musicians are threatening to sue. Unsurprising considering that The Libertines are reportedly receiving £1.5 million for the weekend’s work.
