The DMA’s Australian Tour 2014 has added extra dates after completely selling out.

The nostalgic garage pop trio have sold out shows in Sydney and Melbourne, with the response to the East coast tour dates going someways to answering the question our Tone Deaf writer posed last week, ‘Do DMA’s live up to the hype?

DMA’s have now added additional dates to their EP tour, in support of their self-titled EP, to meet demand, the Newtown threesome now playing second shows at Sydney’s Goodgod on Saturday 24 May and Melbourne’s Shebeen on Sunday 8 June (Queens Birthday Weekend).

DMA’s (dee-em-ayes) is Johnny Took, Matt Mason and Tommy O’Dell, and after the band released their debut single ‘Delete’ in February, it would seem as though the band have been the conversation of many. Their five track self-titled debut EP came out March 28 and hit #7 on the Australian iTunes chart while their single ‘Delete’ is currently sitting at #20 on the ARIA Australian Artist chart.

The band also played their first official show under the name DMA’s on 28th March when they converted a café in Camperdown into a venue and announced the gig 48 hours prior. After hitting capacity 40 minutes after doors opened, the trio showed punters exactly why they have been causing murmurs over the last two months.

You can check out fan-shot footage of the band officially playing ‘Delete’ live for the first time at that Camperdown gig below and scope the May/June DMA’s tour dates below.
