Call us cynical old bastards down at Tone Deaf HQ, but it’s pretty convenient that a ‘lost’ Oasis single has been ‘discovered’ now that they’re dead and buried and their own record company is cashing in with a two CD best of. The new compilation entitled Time Flies wasn’t supposed to have the song Sunday Morning Call which was on the band’s 2000 album Standing On the Shoulders of Giants.

Promotional copies of the CD, which includes every other proper single the band ever released, have this included as a secret track, however. Considering that it was actually released it’s not a lost single so the marketing department at their Big Brother label score a big ‘fail’ next to this angle.

Noel might have even called them ‘coonts.’ Include the white label promo vinyl version of Columbia that was issued to a few select press in 1993 though, and we’d be very excited!
