A Kasabian Australian Tour 2014 has been announced to coincide with the release of the band’s new album.

The band’s fifth and latest studio effort, 48:13, distills the band’s trademark rock sound into a newly re-packaged tilt towards electronic soundscapes and dancefloor-ready tunes. Lead single ‘Eez-eh’ demonstrated the dramatic sonic shift, a relentless all-nighter of a track that is set to ignite in the live setting.

Following on from 2011’s dizzying Velociraptor! and the expansive sounds and evolution of predecessor LP West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, Kasabian’s 48:13 celebrates their 10th anniversary of a band when its released in June.

Speaking with NME earlier this year, dual head-honchos Serge Pizzorno and Tom Meighan commented on the different nature of their upcoming full-length release, “there are a lot of bands who try and do this kind of music but fail because they’ve got no songs.” Continuing carelessly, “it’s a real fucking ‘up yours’.”

Shortly after Kasabian will bring their newest set to Australia for a national headline tour throughout August. Presented by Soundwave Touring, the Kasabian Australian Tour 2014 will take in theatres, pavilions, and stages in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth.

Don’t miss your chance to hear the new-look, fresh-sounding Kasabian in concert.
