Following up a hugely successful 2013, Cairns-turned-Melbourne pub rock kings Drunk Mums are about to hit the road in support of their latest single ‘Plastic’.

Rampaging through pubs and venues across the country has treated the boys well in the past, their brand of Aussie garage rock, plus the lads’ wild, rowdy stage theatrics, has exposed the band to listeners far and wide.

In celebration of the tour Adam Ritchie, Drunk Mums’ bass player and vocalist put together a list of six music videos you don’t want to watch with your Mum.

Lumpy & The Dumpers – ‘Sex Pit’

“Invigorating story of a man who goes down a man hole gets naked and washes himself with slime. If Mum caught you doin’ that- she’d flip her lid!”

Anti-Nowhere League – ‘So What’

“These guys don’t take shit. They’ll do anything. They’re off it. Had enough. Sick of it and over it! SO WHAT! Some great lines in this one such as “I spewed up on a pint of piss” What would Mum say?”

Immortal – ‘Call of the Winter Moon’

“Even the sound of this one would freak mum out. She’ll probably think you’re having a satanic ritual and masturbating in a bath of goats blood. Don’t play this one with Mum home or she’ll do a sneaky rummage through ya’ room to find out if you’re smoking crack.”

GG Allin & The Jabbers – ‘Live Fast Die Fast’

“If you wore clothes like in this video Mum would kick you out with no question. She would say things like “How are you gonna’ get a job dressed like that?” and “Are you taking drugs?”

Macc Lads – ‘Barrels Round’

“Not a good song, it has the some of the worst production I’ve ever heard but it’s about beer and most Mums like wine and hate it when Dad has too many beers.”

Thee Nodes – ‘Filthy Gaze’

“Intense dude covered in toilet paper who is a business man. Mum would be proud of the suit and tie but not if your drummer plays naked and you’ve got a vocal delivery like this.”
