Oh dear. Jason Bonham, the son of the hard living Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, appears to have been hitting the rock n’ roll juice just like his old man. He’s doing a Led Zeppelin reunion without any of the band’s original members.

Bonham Jr, who has only played drums with the band twice, both one off reunion concerts in 1988 and 2008, has announced a 30-date tour which will  revisit the songs of his late father’s band, a run that will take in a mixture of family photos, home movies and performances by a yet to be revealed ‘tribute’ band.

Bonham Jr has been the keenest to get the band back together, with Robert Plant saying no and Jimmy Page and John Paul Young being otherwise occupied at the moment, but let’s hope this flogging of the dead horse doesn’t get billed as Led Zeppelin.
