If you thought the VIP ticket prices to 360’s upcoming Utopia launch tour were extravagant ($1,000 for side-of-stage access and a ‘Selfie with Sixty’, anyone?) wait ’til you see what Bodyjar are offering.

Diehard fans looking to catch the veteran Aussie punk four-piece on their upcoming 20th Anniversary tour are being “once in a life time experience[s]” with a series of “competitively priced VIP bundles.”

Trumping up $3,000 for the ‘Silver’ ticket bundles gives you the rare chance to load Bodyjar’s equipment in and out of the tour van, score your choice of T-shirt (from last year’s album tour ONLY) and frontman Cam Baines’ old (and admittedly faulty) iPhone 3 ear buds.

Plus, you get to have dinner with Bodyjar, assuming you pay the bill for the 5 star restaurant feed, then afterwards, your $3k experience lets you witness guitarist Tom Read take his ritualistic “nervous pre-show shit,” and even – of course – a selfie with bass player Grant Relf’s “highly sort [sic] after Gig Jocks.”

Oh, and the $5,000 ‘Gold’ package gets you all of the above “but with a bonus plate of fruit.”

In case you hadn’t already figured it out, Bodyjar’s packages – advertised on Facebook this afternoon – are a spoof of high-end ticket bundles that’s cheekily-timed in the aftermath of 360’s own top-tier VIP tickets.

The band extended their punchline into the comments section, telling a fan that the ‘Platinum’ package gets ticketholders an extra guitar pick “and a half drank bottle of water from on stage. We bring the value to the consumer.” While the store manager for 24 Hundred, the online shop associated with Bodyjar’s label UNFD, also got in on the act, urging punters to head to the webshop; “these are onsale now!”

What isn’t a joke is Bodyjar’s headline tour this August to celebrate two decades as a touring band since their first show (to the best of frontman Ca Baines’ knowledge) at the Great Britain Hotel in Richmond in August of 1994, the year they also released their debut album Take A Look Inside.

Joining Bodyjar on their 20th Anniversary Tour will be California punks Samiam, Melbourne hard ‘n’ fast favourites Blueline Medic, and emerging hardcore band Clowns. It’s also the quartet’s biggest national tour since their 2013 reunion tour for comeback album Role Models.
