Melbourne Shoegazers Contrast are on the eve of launching their second EP titled Less Than Zero (out tomorrow via Bandcamp).

Self-described as “a coupla blokes who like skateboarding and local music,” the band have quickly garnered a loyal following in Melbourne thanks to their ability to pen hooky pop songs drowned in post-punk and late eighties shoegaze noise.

Recorded at Birdland studios by producer Lindsay Gravina (Adalita, New War, Roland S. Howard, Violent Soho) the Less Than Zero EP will be launched at The Toff tonight, May 29th with support from Hollow Everdaze, Bad Family and Hideous Towns.

If you’re a fan of local acts Lowtide, Day Ravies or The Laurels you should definitely check these guys out.
