You’ve heard their name, you’ve seen the records, t-shirts and stickers… The Supersuckers are probably the favourite band of someone you know and yet they’re still a mystery to you, but that’s okay, just be prepared to meet the (self-proclaimed) Greatest Rock-N-Roll Band In The World.
Throughout their entire career, The Supersuckers’ mission has been to create and perform timeless, quality music and get as many people as possible to hear it. That goal has never changed. The pursuit of that perfectly imperfect rock-n-roll moment is all they’ve ever been after. They’ve been doing this for over two decades now and they’re just getting started.
The band are just about to tour Australia and in celebration asked the band’s vocalist/bass player Eddie Spaghetti to introduce us to the ‘second greatest bands in the world’ seeing that the ‘sukers already have the #1 spot.
Zeke
Lead singer and guitar player, Blind Marky Felchtone is a genius. The way he sings and plays lead guitar is unmatched, even by the Supersuckers.
Why they’re no Supersuckers: No idea really, they’re every bit as good as the ‘suckers but they may be missing that intangible quotient that makes the Supersuckers what they are.
The Hangmen
“Singer and main man Bryan Small is a Jedi from way back. One of the first inspirations for what I do now.”
Why they’re no Supersuckers: “They may lack the “drive to survive” that the Supersuckers possess.”
Hellbound Glory
“Main man, Leroy Virgil, is a masterful songwriter and an amazing singer.”
Why they’re no Supersuckers: “They pretty much only do country music, so they don’t rock like the ‘suckers do.”
The Dwarves
“The band’s vocalist Blag Dahlia is an incredible talent. Everything from the songs to the way they sound is awesome!”
Why they’re no Supersuckers: “Once again, not really sure here. They’ve been prolific and consistent and are DEFINITELY a major influence on what we do but they haven’t been able to keep a lineup together long enough for a real identity to surface.”

“Singer Blaine Cartwright has a real knack for what makes a good rock song and “secret weapon” Ruyter Suys is EASILY the best female guitarist of ALL TIME.
Why they’re no Supersuckers: “They don’t have the finesse that makes the ‘suckers what they are. They’re a little too obvious but they certainly have the drive to survive.”

“Everything about them is amazing – the riffs, the words, the format. They pretty much created rock-n-roll as we all know it today.”
Why they’re no Supersuckers: “Actually they are probably the true Greatest Rock-N-Roll Band In The World. We don’t even come close.”
