Ever wanted to have a poke around the den of an eco-minded rock star? Well lucky for you, Sting is looking to sell his luxury London home and as the property is set to go under the gavel, we can all take a Real Estate stalk inside his fancy digs (cue: ‘Every Breath You Take’).

The multi-storey abode made Sting and his wife Trudie Styler nearby neighbours of Prime Minister David Cameron, located in the heart of Westminster and only a skip and a jump from Downing Street and Buckingham Palace.

The 18th century townhouse features a grand entrance hall and staircase for its double four-window wide principal rooms and a “passenger lift providing ease of access to all floors,” according to the Knight Frank listing. The home is “presented in immaculate condition and benefits from exceptional entertaining and living space,” and though Knight Frank keeps the selling price off the books, it’s estimated to be worth more than £15million (approx. AU$ 27,163,107)

Sprawled across 790.8 square metres, the nearly 300 year old space features five reception rooms (Sting loves to entertain), nine bedrooms (for all your tantric needs), and six bathrooms – one of which looks to be as big as an average apartment space.

The whole space is fitted out with luxury antique trimmings – more vintage than Dave Grohl‘s old pad but not as rustic as John Lennons ex-mansion. Despite the opulent fittings, the decor isn’t as eccentric as those we’ve seen previously inside the mansions of Prince or Tool vocalist Maynard James Keenan

The Police frontman’s space, big enough to house the 62-year-old’s four adult children, also features a grand view overlooking St James’ Park (not quite as impressive as Dr Dre’s Hollywood Hills vista), as well as “exquisite and good sized gardens”, with an Antony Gormley statue and direct access to the Royal Park via a street access to Birdcage Walk. Residents are close enough to hear Big Ben striking upon the hour. How British.

The London property is also Grade I heritage listed, meaning that the musician has had trouble renovating the conserved space to any degree without getting permission from council, which might account for the fact he’s selling the townhouse. But don’t worry, Sting’s 16 Grammy-strong trophy cabinet will still find space in one of his other homes dotted around the world.

The couple have a 600-acre estate in Tuscany, 150 acres of farmland in Wiltshire, and their Big Apple penthouse, so Sting can spend more time being an ‘Englishman In New York’.

According to The Standardthe musician is set to profit around £10m for the sale of the London home, which he originally purchased for £5.7m 11 years ago from Tory politician turned Labour MP Shaun Woodward.
