The Queenscliff Music Festival 2014 lineup has been announced with an impressive roster of Aussie artists locked in to head to the Victorian coastal townfor the event, now in its 18th year.

Topping the bill is indie favourites The Jezabels, world renowned multi-instrumentalist Xavier Rudd, much-loved folk rock group The Waifs, queen of Australian country music Kasey Chambers, 2013 Grammy nominees Hiatus Kaiyote, the internationally renowned Castlemaine hero D.D Dumbo, and Australian legends The Church, now bolstered with a new lineup that features former Powderfinger guitarist Ian Haug.

Also on the Queenscliff Music Festival 2014 lineup are the comedy stylings of Tripod and Eddie Perfect as Perfect Tripod, as well as previously teased artists Stonefield and The Bombay Royale, who both performed at The QMF Emerging Artist Grant Fundraiser earlier this month (as previously reported).

More artists will be added to the lineup in the coming weeks, including – for the first time in years – a few international acts to bolster the distinctively Aussie lineup.

“We are extremely proud to present the best in Australian music each year, but in 2014 we’ve hand-picked a few international acts to come and add a dash of international flavour to the Queenscliff experience,” says newly appointed Festival Director Andrew Orvis. Having attended each and every one of the 17 festivals to date (including helping program from 2008 to 2012), Mr Orvis has been “busy scouting out a selection of quality contemporary acts to join in the growing list of satisfied Queenscliff Alumni.”

Regularly pegged as a local favourite, the Queenscliff Music Festival regularly draws huge crowds with its equally large lineups and multi-stage layout located on the coast of the Victorian town, complete with a main stage splayed beneath the iconic lighthouse.

Demand for this year’s event has already seen the allocation of subscriber and early bird tickets selling out months in advance, breaking all previous records for QMF 2014, taking place 28th to the 30th November. A variety of single-day and multi-day passes are still available from the official website. Full details below.

Last year’s Queenscliff Music Festival featured an all-Aussie lineup topped by The Living End, Spiderbait, John Butler Trio, The Grates and featured Saskwatch, Underground Lovers, The Preatures, Busby Marou and many more.
