Apparently you can’t build a tour out of muffins, but Melbourne post-punk loons The Sinking Teeth are out to prove otherwise on a ten date, five state tour this June/July. The tour will celebrate the release of their new single ‘You Can’t Build A Bike Out Of Muffins’, which will be released in coming weeks. The track is the first single from their second EP Salt & Stitches which will be launched on the final date of the tour at The Workers Club in Melbourne on July 26.
In between being naked on stage supporting Calling All Cars and taking promo jobs dressed as Freddo Frog to pay for studio time, The Sinking Teeth have spent the last six months chipping away at writing and recording Salt & Stitches, a follow up to White Water which was released in October of last year.
The Sinking Teeth have been incessantly touring for the past year, earning their stripes by playing alongside some of the country’s most exciting acts including Violent Soho, Bodyjar, The Love Junkies, Bad//Dreems, Calling All Cars and Luca Brasi.
Noted for their electric live show and named one of Blunt Magazine’s ‘Bands to Watch in 2014’, TheSinking Teeth may not be able to build a bike out of muffins, but they sure can play.
