Following on from news of three fresh faced new Aussie music festivals taking off this year, the organisers of boutique dance music festival OutsideIn have announced their acclaimed festival will be returning once again in 2014, and have touted this year’s instalment as having “the biggest lineup yet”.

OutsideIn 2014 will take place at a “whole NEW venue, on November 29th,” as organisers write on their newly-revamped Facebook page. “Stay tuned to this page for all the info and the chance to win tickets in a series of line-up guessing games,” tease promoters, Yes Please and Astral People, tease of the third edition of the event.

The inaugural OutsideIn took place in 2012 at a sold out Factory Theatre in Sydney’s Marrickville, hosting an ensemble of international and local heroes, it was the standout event of Sydney’s ever-evolving festival circuit (and a favourite of Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke, spotted amongst the crowd), leading FBi Radio to award the event a coveted SMAC Award for Best Music Event of 2012.

Last year’s Outside In 2013 saw the growing festival capitalise on the success of their debut, cultivating a dedicated following and bringing in an even bigger lineup of local talent and internationals, many of whom hadn’t toured the country before; featuring the likes Freddie Gibbs, BadBadNotGood, Laurel Halo, Objekt, Mark Pritchard, Andras Fox, Oscar Key Sung, Rainbow Chan, Cosmo’s Midnight, Jam City and Oisima.

Now with the organisers’ bold promises of an even greater lineup, we can officially let the ever-enticing speculation games begin.

As the festival told fans on Facebook, “In the mean time, let’s take a trip down memory lane to last year’s festival.” Check out the 2013 highlights video below, and be sure to check back here for more OutsideIn details as they unfold.
