Batten down the hatches boys and girls, ’cause the whirling whining garage rock extraordinaire King Tuff is back with new tune ‘Eyes of the Muse,’ and is it banging.

The first release from the artist since 2012 kicks-off with sickly-sweet high-toned acoustics before the steely-sonics are enveloped by a chunky distorted riff that’s thankfully reminiscent of Dinosaur JR’s ‘Start Choppin.’

Vocally, it appears King T has given his pipes are bit of a wash, removing a layer of his abrasive delivery and calling upon the ghost of T-Rex’s Marc Bolan to produce a rocking fuzzer that harkens back to the carefree glory days of sixties-psychedelica and glitter-sprinkled glam-rock.

This is the perfect “forget your worries” kinda tune, so do King Tuff the honour and allow this garage-pop anthem to kill your hump-day blues.

Tuffy’s third record Black Moon Spell is out September 23 on Sub Pop Records, dig the first release right here:
