British indie duo, Thumpers, are making their debut appearance in Australia this winter. The celebrated two-piece will be playing Sydney’s Newtown Social Club on Thursday 10th July and the Northcote Social Club in Melbourne on Friday 11th July, off the back of their debut album, Galore – released today in the UK to unanimous acclaim, and out now in Australia through Hub / Inertia.

Comprised of long time friends Marcus Pepperell and John Hamson Jr. – THUMPERS’ colourful, exuberant alt-pop celebrates their innate musical kinship and draws upon their shared childhood memories. The London-based band combine bright and layered vocals with muscular drums, astral synths and shimmering guitars in a celebration of the breathless sensations of youth and coming of age.

Live, they are augmented by an interchanging cast of friends and musicians in faithfully bringing their immersive dynamics and grand scale sonic vision to the stage. Already, Thumpers have been invited to hit the road with a range of acclaimed contemporaries including New York duo, Ms Mr, throughout the summer season and Chvrches, for their UK & European dates in late 2013.

To Celebrate their visit to Australia Tone Deaf are giving readers the chance to win a double pass to see the duo live in Sydney and Melbourne. Enter your details below to win!
