In late 2013 cousins Simon Lam and Chloe Kaul came together to create Klo, the dreamy slow-jam R&B influenced  project that after only two singles is garnering attention internationally. Their debut single Make Me Wonder’ was released in March this year, yet they’ve already signed to Australian label Dot Dash (part of the Remote Control family) and received accolades from the taste makers at BBC Radio 1.

The duo have now released their follow up single ‘False Calls’, hookier and more R&B driven than their first single, Lam’s flat and soft bass patterns and Kaul’s vocals swirl together and becoming both dizzying and hypnotic all at once.

Maybe it’s the family connection but these guys sound like they’ve been making music together for decades, which is very interesting as the pair explain the making of ‘False Calls’ “‘was an icebreaker for us cousins, as we weren’t close before this project and hadn’t seen each other in years. It was our collective Mum’s decision for us to collaborate and strengthen family ties.” If this is only the beginning of Klo has to offer- we’ve got a lot to look forward to with their upcoming EP due later this year.
