The Love Junkies Australian Tour 2014

Velociraptor Australian Tour 2014

The forever-changing and ever-interesting Brisbane collective of 10 to 15 that are Velociraptor have killed thus far in 2014. The supergroup of talent released not one, but two ripping tracks, the indie-pop chant-along ‘Ramona’ and now, a follow-up that’s just as bloody good, ‘Sneakers.’ With the creative juices abundantly flowing, the band super amped to reveal that in mid-August they will release their new self-titled record.

In natural Velociraptor form, they’ve got to take these good vibes on the road. The group will be making pit-stops all around Australia, throwing one hell of a party after the next 7-date trip tour. In addition to this, the Brissy posse have enlisted Sydney’s Bloods as supports (excluding Perth and Fremantle.) Sounds pretty damn good, don’t it?

Miami Horror Announce New Album, Australian Tour 2014

Having recently settled in Los Angeles to construct a new home studio, the year-round glow of the Californian sun can be heard in Miami Horror’s summery new single ‘Wild Motion (Set It Free)’, an upbeat, beaming track that showcases singer Josh Moriarity and soaring tribal rhythms and riffs. Producer and member Benjamin Plant calls the track ” love child of Talking heads, Paul Simon and some sort of lost 80’s Australian anthem.”

Along with the new single, Miami Horror are heading out on a national tour this September, showcasing ‘Wild Motion (Set It Free)’ and a new setlist containing recent jams ‘Real Slow‘ and ‘Colours In the Sky‘. The tour will also offer the first chance to hear Miami Horror’s long-awaited second album – set for release late 2014. Watch the ‘making of’ Part 1 and Part 2 of the new album for some further behind-the-scenes insight.

Castlecomer Australian Tour 2014 Dates

Sydney five-piece and recent Liberation signees Castlecomer are hitting the road to launch their latest single ‘Fugitive’. Lifted from the band’s forthcoming EP – recorded with Tony Buchen (The Preatures, Tim Finn, Andy Bull) and released later this year – the song is about not being able to be with the people you love, for whatever reason. As songwriter/frontman Bede Kennedy explains: “I wrote it after watching the Harrison Ford film thinking about how difficult it would be to live a life on the run – which is sort of what most bands experience with the whole touring thing.”

Having played over 500 shows and broken two taragos in the process, Castlecomer are already one of the hardest working and driven bands in the country. Catch their vocal harmonies and blues-tinged rock at venues across the East Coast this September.
