A Tomorrows Tulips Australian Tour 2014 has been announced with the duo making their second-ever trip to our shores for a special run of shows in September.
Coinciding with the release of the US duo’s new studio album, the Tomorrows Tulips Australian Tour 2014 will see the band playing Melbourne, Sydney, Manly, Brisbane, Byron Bay, and Cronulla’s Sounds Of The Suburbs festival.
Born and bred off the southern California coast, squished somewhere between Los Angeles and San Diego, the slack rockers recently made their Australian debut on tour with The Growlers for their sold out run back in March.
Consisting of singer-guitarist Alex Knost and Ford Archbold, Tomorrows Tulips have been praised for keeping the fine tradition of slightly bummed, slightly happy, slightly outta tune and slightly crafted underground rock music alive. Equal parts pop experience and esoteric sonic adventure, their latest album is out 22nd September via Strange Yonder and sees them further blending their DIY aesthetic with newer dimensions of their spaced out sound.
Joining as special guests for their second Australian trip is The Babe Rainbow, the latest signees to King Gizzard’s Flightless label the psych-rock group have just completed a national tour of their own in support of acid-drenched new single, ‘The Secret Enchanted Broccoli Forest’.
