Australian hip hop has slowly but surely begun to cement itself as a force to be reckoned with in the industry.

Photographer Michelle Grace Hunder has dug the scene since its underground roots, and has worked tirelessly over the past two years to make her dream concept of an Australian Hiphop book a reality.

The book is entitled RISE and features over 110 portraits of over 180 artists, spread comfortably over 112 pages, including to up and coming killer talents Allday.

In celebration of RISE, Hunder is embarking on a national tour to release the publication with live performances Mantra, Briggs, Grey Ghost, Dylan Joel, Alex Jones and Mistress of Ceremony throughout August.

Hunder has handpicked a few of her absolute favourite images with some information behind the imagery, join us as we see Aussie hip hop through the eyes of one of its best photographers.
