The Tea Party Australian Tour 2014 has been announced as the rock veterans confirm details of a brand new studio album – the trio’s first in 10 years.

The Ocean At The End is The Tea Party’s latest opus, and their first new studio release since 2010’s Seven Circles. To commemorate the release, the Canadian purveyors of progressive-minded, folk-inspired rock will be embarking on their fourteenth visit to Australia this October to tour their brand new release.

Presented by Sony and NineLive, The Tea Party Australian Tour 2014 will see the band performing headline shows in capital cities and regional venues around the country, with very special homegrown guests, the ARIA Award winning multi-platinum rockers, The Superjesus.

Reforming in 2013 after a 10 year-long break, the mighty foursome never fails to pack a punch thanks to their powerful live show and infectious rock anthems (such as ‘Gravity’, ‘Down Again’, and more).

Throughout The Tea Party’s 2012 sellout Australian ‘Reformation Tour’, after eight years apart, it was clear to see that the on-stage magic between Jeff Martin (vocals/guitar), Stuart Chatwood (bass/keyboards), and Jeff Burrows (drums/percussion) remained as strong as it ever was.

The reunion sparked a calling for the band to return to the studio and lay down songs for a new recording, much to the delight of The Tea Party’s longstanding devotees. On their eighth studio album, recorded through the winter and spring of 2013/14 at Toronto’s Revolution Studios, Jeff Burrows says, “the writing for this record was as organic and honest as our first album. Three friends, in a room with one goal in common, do what we do best.”

The result is The Ocean At The End, produced by Jeff Martin and mixed by David Bottrill (Peter Gabriel, Muse, Tool), slated for release this September through Anthem/Sony Music Entertainment Australia and features the mammoth rock track, ‘The Black Sea’ (available early August through iTunes).

“There’s nothing like touring Australia…the fans are unlike anywhere else on the planet. I can’t wait to share the Rock & Roll communion,” says Burrows
