Tiny Little Houses are a lo-fi-noise-folk band from Melbourne, and they’ve just released one incredibly moving little single, titled ‘Every Man Knows His Plague; And You Are Mine’. The four piece have managed to strike the delicate balance of letting their sound reference the lo-fi fuzz folk icons of the 90s like Neutral Milk Hotel, Sebadoh and even Elliott Smith, while still producing something startlingly new.

Tiny Little Houses began as the bedroom musings and lo-fi recordings of Caleb Karvountzis. Caleb’s fuzzed out bedroom creations would form the basis of Tiny Little Houses’ sound as it slowly expanded with the addition of guitarist and writing partner, Sean Mullins. Hitting the studio with producer Steven Schram (Little Red, San Cisco) in May this year, merely weeks following the addition of Al Yamin and Clancy Bond.

Considering  ‘Every Man Knows His Plague; And You Are Mine’ is the debut single from the band, there’s definitely reason to keep you eye on these guys. Check out the band’s Facebook page for more info.
