Garage four-piece Catfish And The Bottlemen have just dropped the video to their latest single ‘Cocoon’. Lead singer Van McCann explains the meaning behind the song: “I was living in this apartment block in New York, and I used to go up to the rooftop for a smoke and look over the skyline which was beautiful every night. I was away from home and missing the love of my life, and I just wanted to write a song about being together and fucking everybody off. So ‘Cocoon’ is about being madly in love with someone, your best friend or whoever, and people try to get inside that and fuck shit up for you.”

English lads will release their debut album The Balcony on September 19 via Communion Records / Caroline Australia. The release will come on the tail end of a hugely successful summer for the band from Llandudno, which sees them playing over 30 festival dates including Reading & Leeds, Latitude and T In The Park, plus Ibiza/Mallorca Rocks alongside Jake Bugg.
