Fasten your velcro, blow the dust out your cartridge, rewind that VHS ’cause your new favourite local act Urban Problems are here. Still new on the scene Urban Problems are quickly becoming Melbourne’s most righteous house/hip-hop act and with a video and single like ‘Franklin Step’ how could they not be??

Comprised of the rhyme killin’, lady fillin’ Pope of Rap, the voice of a 90s diva and the flow of an east side emcee, Lil’ Miss on vocal duties, and heartbreaker Sammy “Bass Da Pimp” Steeze on production, this party trio are giving us a taste of what’s to come from their upcoming EP 100% Hymns set for release late 2014.

Shot by Phantom 330, the video for ‘Franklin Step’ is cheesy 90s throwback in all its glory, and with some of the sharpest and funniest lines we’ve heard in ages, it’s impossible to watch only once.

Urban Problems will be launching ‘Franklin Step’ at Boney on Saturday 30 August, for more info visit the group’s Facebook page or  www.boney.net.au.
