A Bad//Dreems Australian Tour 2014 has been announced as the Adelaide rockers confirm dates for BIGSOUND 2014 and USA while dropping a new music video.
Recently signed to Ivy League Records, Bad//Dreems have fast earned reputation as one of the most exciting bands in the country with their passionate mix of historic pub rock and honest songwriting. Having toured the Australian coast lines several times over and earning a dedicated following across the country, Bad//Dreems recently explored “the darker, more bleak depths of their rusted grunge aesthetic” on new single ‘My Only Friend’.
Teaming up with iconic producer Mark Opitz (AC/DC, Cold Chisel, The Angels, INXS), ‘My Only Friend’ explores a different side to Bad//Dreems sonic dynamics as it navigates deeper themes of isolation, loss and self-doubt. The new video for the single was pieced together with footage collected from the band and footage shot by fans. It shows Bad//Dreems on the road, playing shows and doing what they do best – being a band. (Watch below)

Bad//Dreems are releasing ‘My Only Friend’ off the back of a triumphant bout of national touring, including memorable sets at St Jerome’s Laneway Festival, Groovin The Moo and Boogie Festival, plus a recent headline tour of independent record stores. The tour was a big success and saw many fans turned away at the door after sold out shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and of course their hometown of Adelaide (twice).
With barely enough time to catch their breath, the band launched straight into another tour, this time with Sydney’s heavyweights The Preatures, again a hugely successful tour, with all shows sold out around the country and Bad//Dreems winning over many new fans in the process.
But Bad//Dreems are certainly not taking any time to rest on their laurels, they’re on a roll! The band will be heading up to Brisbane for BIGSOUND in September, right after that they’ll be doing another run of headline shows in support of ‘My Only Friend’ then heading to the airport the very next day for their maiden voyage to the USA. Whilst in America they’ll be dropping via LA to share the stage with Cloud Nothings at Culture Collide Festival and then showcasing their wares around the rest of the country throughout October.
