In case you had somehow missed it, English alt-rock mainstays Kasabian have made their triumphant return to Aussie shores for a national tour that won’t soon be forgotten.

The four-piece dropped their fifth LP, titled 48:13, at the beginning of June this year which witnessed the band once again stretch their creative boundaries, exploring the realms of dance beats, neo-psychedelica as well as their familiar stomping ground of indie and alternative rock.

The guys have eclipsed every single performance of this year, reminding the world why they are one of the most excitable live shows of the past decade.

We won’t deny that we’ve got the Kasabian fever, and decided to take a look at five reasons why we think you should hit-up their show this August.

They Were Labelled Best Live Act Of Glastonbury 2014

Taking the ultimate of all headlining positions, the band blew away Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage on the Sunday night. Pitted against the likes of Massive Attack, Disclosure, James Blake and London Grammar, the indie rockers had no issue in drawing the largest crowd of the night as they tore the hallowed festival grounds a new one for 90-minutes.

They’ve most certainly still got it, as thousands of crazed fans belted out tune after tune, some going as mad as to fire off flares through the sea of waving flags.

Check the guys out as they burn through the incredibly infectious dance-floor banger, ‘Eez-Eh.’

The Setlist Is A Perfect Mix of Old & New

When you’re going to see a band that has produced five records in 10-years, there’s always that horrid little voice at the back of your head that tells you that they’re only going to play new stuff – not your favourite track from 2004. Well, for those who dig the golden oldies of Kasabian, you needn’t sweat it, ’cause chances are you’ll get what you want.

In examining the band’s 2014 setlists (which you can spoil in full here) there is a healthy mixture of tracks from every single full-length album since their self-titled debut. Clearly these guys aren’t afraid to give their fans what they want.

Kasabian Do Killer Covers

Yeah, they’ve got a mad back catalogue of classic tracks, but who the hell doesn’t love a cover when a band can actually pull it off? The multitalented quartet, known for mixing genres like cocktails, have currently included some insane covers to their live performance repertoire. Like what, you ask? How does ‘Praise You’ by Fatboy Slim sound? How about a set closer like The Beatles’ ‘All You Need Is Love?’

Yep, that’s what you can expect, plus a few more surprises!

Fans Who Miss Out Will “Regret It The Rest Of Their Lives”

At least so says lead guitarist and songwriter Serge Pizzorno in a recent interview with the NME

The four-piece, electrified after their Glasto performance, have stated the experience taught them how to work an audience all over again, “we’ve learned a lot from Glastonbury about inciting the very best type of chaos, man – fucking madness. We want these gigs to be the perfect excuse for people to go absolutely insane” which, as video footage shows, is emphatically true.

Heed this man’s advice: “The shows are gonna have an intense, tribal, hypnotic vibe. Stay at home and you’ll regret it the rest of your life.” Imagine if you missed something like this?
