BIGSOUND 2014 was already more than living up to its name with an epic lineup of more than 100 emerging Aussie artists and a huge list of unmissable speakers, confirming its status as Australia’s arguably biggest and best music industry conference.

Now organisers have announced a final round of bands for the BIGSOUND Live 2014 lineup, bringing the total tally to a whopping 140 Aussie artists, and another 50 or more speakers, music industry figures, media representatives, top executives, musicians and artists.

The new roster of conference panellists hitting this year’s edition of the Brisbane event, taking over Fortitude Valley from 10th to the 12th September, includes Megan Washington, Ball Park Music frontman Sam Cromack, Russell Morris, and Shane Nicholson; label execs Darius Van Armen (Jagjaguar / Secretly Canadian), Mark Holland (EMI) and Nathan McLay (Future Classic); artist managers Jodie Regan (Tame Impala) and Dan Biddle (The McClymonts); bookers Jessica Ducrou (Village Sounds) and Woody McDonald (Meredith & Golden Plains); as well as media including influential blogger The Fader’s Emilie Friedlander (US), CMJ’s Matt McDonald (USA), Triple J Music Director Richard Kingsmill, and FasterLouder editor Darren Levin.

Leading the new BIGSOUND Live additions is Melbourne soul collective Saskwatch, Perth rockers The Love Junkies, Wax Witches (the solo project of Bleeding Knees Club’s Alex Wall), and Triple J Unearthed High winners Lunatics On Pogosticks. Speaking of Unearthed, winners WAAX and The Furrs also join the bill, along with Little Odessa, Spookyland, Blaq Carrie, and from Canada: Buckman Coe, Rob Moir, and Jordan Klassen.

BIGSOUND will take place from 10th to the 12th September, with the accompanying BIGSOUND Live program taking place across multiple venues on the first two nights of the conference. Early bird tickets for the conference close this Friday 8th August.  BIGSOUND Live 2014 tickets are available now for $69 (one of the best valued tickets in the country) from OzTix.
