The NYE On The Hill 2014 lineup has been announced, revealing an impressive pool of Aussie artists that offer a pretty compelling argument to ditch all your New Year’s Eve plans in favour of hitting this boutique music festival.
Back for its second year of operation following its sold out launch last year, NYE On The Hill is presented by the tight-knit team responsible for the invite-only The Hills Are Alive! festival, and once again they’ve pulled together a bill that upholds the festival’s reputation for “showcasing the best up-and-coming live talent in the country.”
Leading the first 20 bands confirmed for the NYE On The Hill 2014 lineup is revered Sydney hip-hop duo Jackie Onassis; soul-funk Soundcloud sensations Jakubi; genre-defying maven Ngaiire and Melbourne rock monster Money For Rope (both fresh from slaying Glastonbury); Jimmy Page’s fave Aussie rockers, The Delta Riggs; Meredith alumni World’s End Press, and criminally underrated Sydney indie troupe I Know Leopard.
There’s also China-conquerors The Bennies; Melbourne golden boy Oscar Key Sung; The Babe Rainbow’s psychelicious delights; THAA returnees Echo Drama; haunting singer-songwriter Eliza Hull; Melbourne rockers APES; arena live electro outfit City Calm Down; rising MC L-Fresh The Lion, emerging emotive songsmith Howqua, and rounding out the bill: WZRDKID, The Darjeelings, Halcyon Drive, and These New South Wales.

NYE On The Hill’s single stage set-up means you won’t miss any of the live music action down at “The Farm”, the beautiful hillside festival site located among the rolling hills 20 minutes from Wonthaggi.
Full 3-day tickets for the boutique event are also on sale today through the official website for $189 (+b/f) while the family-friendly fest also offers child tickets (12-17 years) for $99 (+b/f) and tackers under 12 get in free (with adult supervision).
Further enhancing the community vibe is that tickets are limited to a 2,000 cap. Ensuring “freedom from massive crowds, freedom from the city, ” in the words of NYE On The Hills’ mysterious benefactor known as ‘The Famer’ (no relation to Aunty Meredith).
