Having just toured nationally alongside British indie rock kings The 1975 and local legend Fractures, dreamy Northern Beaches outfit Mammals are set to release their debut EP Animalia this Friday the 15th.

Animalia manages to balance between chilled but still hypnotic, otherworldly in its dreamy ambiance. Set to perform at BIGSOUND this year, Mammals are definitely an act to keep a close eye on for rest of 2014 and beyond.

To celebrate the release of their debut EP, Guy Brown aka Mammals has given us a track by track run down of the release.

Circles

I Think this track sums up mammals the most. Flowing vibes and super chilled. I hope people can feel the ocean in this one.

Codeine Eyes

This track was written late one night very alone. Its a realisation of what I didn’t want to know. It’s still so real.

Wolf

In between Hospital visits to my dear friend I wrote this song. Its so sad to know the fate of someone and not being able to accept it. RIP WOLF xxx

Depraved

In between panic attacks anxiety and paranoia is a scary place that I hope never to visit again.

Move Slower

Flash Forest sent me a beat months before that I kept. I was mucking around chopping up guitar loops when I remembered the beat- brought it into the session, with a little time stretching BOOM -Move slower. This track produced itself and evolved flowing with out any effort. So rare.
