A Jimmy Eat World Australian Tour 2014 has been announced, as the band celebrate the 10 year anniversary of their much-loved album Futures.
Presented by Frontier Touring, Jimmy Eat World will be returning Down Under for the second time this year, after playing headline shows as part of this year’s Soundwave Festival.
The Phoenix foursome – Jim Adkins, Rick Burch, Zach Lind and Tom Linton – forthcoming visit immediately follows a huge run of US dates in commemoration of 2004’s pivotal release, Futures. The Jimmy Eat World Australian Tour 2014 will kick off following the band playing Auckland and crossing the ditch to visit all Aussie capital cities, which will see the band performing their fifth record from front to back live, complemented by their other great hits.

Released on 19 October 2004, Futures features some of the band’s most iconic tracks including the celebratory title track, the catchy ‘Work‘, emotive closer ‘23‘, and ‘Pain’, which has achieved Gold status in the US and became their second song to land the #1 spot on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks Chart.
The album peaked at #27 on the ARIA Albums Chart in Australia and #6 on the Billboard 200, proving the band were still delivering the goods in album number five.
If the response to their last headline tour in 2011 and reaction from fans who were lucky enough to catch them earlier this year is anything to go by, the demand for these shows are going to be through the roof!
Joining as support for the Jimmy Eat World Australian Tour 2014 will be two local favourites, hard rocking favourites The Sinking Teeth and the genre-bending rock sounds of My Echo.
