What do Motor Ace, Prettymess, Icecream Hands and P76 all have in common? They all featured members who are now collaborating in the newly launched Melbourne outfit Five Mile Sniper!

Combining singer/songwriter/producer John Baxter (Prettymess, Holocene & Alcotomic), Doug Robertson (Icecream Hands), Matt Balfe (Motor Ace), Geoff Barnes(P76) and Paul Inglis (Prettymess) Five Mile Sniper announce the forthcoming release of their debut album The Sound of Trees for October 24th 2014.

‘Can’t Go On’ is the first offering from The Sound of Trees album. Written from personal experience, the song explores the subject of youth suicide, supported by an unsettling video clip that was shot in Poland by the brilliantly dark Lukasz Pytlik, also known for his stunning work with Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros. Available for either free download or purchase, all proceeds from the sale of ‘Can’t Go On’ will be donated to ReachOut for the prevention of youth suicide and depression.
