Adelaide hip hop legends Funkoars are 15 years into their impressive career and are strong as ever. Consisting of MC/ Producers Trials, Sesta and Hons, the trio recently dropped Dawn Of The Head EP, a prelude to their upcoming fifth full length LP In Case Of Emergency.

With one of the most dedicated cult followings in Australia and two of the most prominent producers in Aussie hip hop, Trials (Hilltop Hoods, Drapht, Seth Sentry) and Sesta (Maundz, K21, Vents), the guys have taken their favourite instruments and fumbled their way together into writing what’s to be considered some of their finest and foulest collaborative efforts behind the boards to date, spanning almost 10 separate releases between them.

Today we’re premiering the ‘The D’ a remix by Aussie hip hop producer Jaytee, whose efforts have featured on some of the biggest local hip hop release to date including Hilltop Hoods’ platinum selling album Drinking From The Sun and Brigg’s hit single ‘Rather Be Dead’.

Listening to Jaytee’s masterful remix of ‘The D’ it’s clear Jaytee and Funkoars are long time collaborators, remixing and chopping the ‘Oars’ flows while breathing new life into the killer hip hop jam, it’s an Aussie hip hop match made in heaven.
