Bob Dylan’s 2014 tour is currently underway!

The hugely influential, long-celebrated singer-songwriter and his band will be returning Down Under for a tour of the nation’s theatres this August, presented by Chugg Entertainment, the news arriving upon the celebration of Bob Dylan’s 73rd birthday yesterday.

For the first time in over two decades, Bob Dylan draws the fans closer with performances in some of the most iconic theatre venues in the country. Fans can anticipate a musical event of depth, grace and significance, delivered by one of the greats, heading to Australia for the first time since playing Bluesfest 2011.

“I happened to go to dinner with his drummer [George G. Receli] said ‘that’s still one of our favourite shows ever…’,” Bluesfest promoter told Tone Deaf in a recent interview.”

“You know the thing about Bob Dylan, there’s so much mystique … but I see Bob regularly hanging out with musicians, he’s not a total recluse.”

The Bob Dylan Australian Tour 2014 also marks his first visit since the release of his 35th and latest studio album, Tempest, released in 2012. “We should consider ourselves blessed to even have this artist here with us and know that whatever he throws our way will be intriguing and thought provoking,” wrote our Tone Deaf reviewer.
