An Alt-J Australian Tour 2014 has been announced, offering a chance to catch the zeitgeist-storming UK group outside of their Aussie sumer festival appearances.

Already announced as part of the lineups for Falls Festival and Southbound festivals, Frontier Touring now confirms that Alt-J will perform two special headline shows this October to support the release of their highly-anticipated second album, This Is All Yours (out Friday 19th September via Liberator/Infectious Music).

These will be Alt-J’s first visit since the departure of founding member Gwillym ‘Gwil’ Sainsbury, but the rest of the lineup – Joe Newman (guitar/vocals), Gus Unger-Hamilton (keyboards) and Thom Green (drums) – are already regular visitors of Australia.

Their last dates Down Under sold out in just five minutes flat; while Alt-J’s hectic tour schedule (named one of 2013′s ‘Hardest Working’ bands) has seen them visit Australia multiple times since releasing their Mercury-winning 2012 debut album An Awesome Wave -including a visit for Laneway Festival 2013Mushroom’s relaunch party, their own headline tour and as Splendour In The Grass’s not so) ‘Mystery Band’.

Alt-J will this time be touring their new album This Is All Yours, of which fans have already had three enjoyable servings: the brooding, Miley Cyrus-sampling ‘Hunger Of the Pine’ (and its chilling video); the swaggering rock piss-take ‘Left Hand Free‘, and just last week the strange, sensual ‘Every Other Freckle‘.

Joining alt-J at both shows is 24-year-old Perth artist Grace. She has spent recent months recording with producers Dave Sitek (TV On The Radio), Sam Spiegel (Yeah Yeah Yeahs), and Dann Hume (Alpine) on her upcoming release. From whispered details to stuttering beats and brash guitars, Grace is a name to watch.

Don’t miss your chance to catch one of our country’s favourite indie bands on the Alt-J Australian Tour 2014.
