Sydney four-piece Cull, who graced us with the mind altering ‘Bà Nội EP’ earlier this year, have come back with a song that’s guaranteed to find its way into your soul. Made up of molten reverb that shockwaves its way throughout the 3:46 length, ‘Magi Fuel’ desecrates all in its path with pure happiness.

‘Magi Fuel’, besides implying that Cull lost their ‘C’ key on their keyboards, also shows that the group have somehow become even more in lock with each other. Whilst their EP was sometimes prone to doodling guitar lines, everything on ‘Magi Fuel’ is necessary and fantastic. There is no gratuitousness, just epic majesty that will make Kevin Parker quake in his boots.

Regardless of your opinions on psych/shoegaze music, Cull’s ‘Magi Fuel’ is an essential listen.
