Rap duo Run The Jewels (aka El-P and Killer Mike) have just dropped the first single off their upcoming LP RTJ2 (Run The Jewels 2) a follow up to their 2013 Fool’s Gold release Run The Jewels. Titled ‘Blockbuster Night Part 1’ the single is exactly what we’ve come to love an expect from one of the best collaborations in hip-hop.

Having teased the record on Instagram and Twitter, the anticipated follow up has been given an official released date of October 28th via Nas’ imprint Mass Appeal. As also hinted at on social media, the LP will also officially contributions from Rage Against The Machine’s Zack De La Rocha and Blink 182’s Travis Barker.

Killer Mike has also been making headlines lately for speaking out about the events surrounding the shooting of teenager Michael Brown in Ferguson and his ‘gangsta rapper’ persona on CNN News.

Unlike Run The Jewels (1) RTJ2 will see a worldwide CD and vinyl release.  If the end October feels too long to wait for fresh Run The Jewels material (and don’t worry I feel ya) they’ll be releasing a new track on September the 15th as part of the Adult Swim singles series.
